SO CHANNEL6 MENTIONED NOTHING IN THE NEWS OF SSA... Nickelodeon would be sole owner... Nothing would be definite till the fall

they mentioned them on WWL I have been following these forums for a while now... never signed up for an account until today... but i would really like to see
this park come back.. im just loosing a little faith in it.. A lot of it just sounds and looks a little fishy to me.. but im not going to get into that.. i
really hope to see Danny Get this park and do something great with it.

The web article seems to indicate that the deal was finalized (signed)... I would like to hear more about this! If true, and if it won't go through until
Fall, maybe there could be at least a partial season next year!

That is a bit of an understatement. If Nickelodeon is in fact involved, it gives much greater to credibility to Danny Rogers and the people he is working with.
A powerhouse like that would not trust a bunch of misguided pipe-dreamers to represent their brand. It also makes me quite a bit more confident that SSA's
business plan must be impeccable. If the representative for the Mayor's office is talking about it on the news, then they must have liked what they saw.
Furthermore, the intention of applying for GoZone bonds would have much more merit.
So, for what it is worth, I wish the best of luck to Danny and SSA. I know my son and I will be very eager to see whatever Danny Phantom attraction they have. We watch it together every Saturday on DVR. |

What is Nickelodeon bringing to the table. If SSA still has to apply for the 100 mill in Go Zone bonds than is Nickelodeon only there to use its brand name in
the park. Is it going to cost more to pay Nick for such use. I know Nick is in some amusement parks but I am not sure to what level. Anyone here know? Do they
just allow the parks to use there name and theme rides, do they own any stake in the parks. Are they on board just to make the Go Zone apps look more
attracting. I did see a post on here previously that said SSA will not own or operate the park. Correct me if im wrong with that last sentence. If nick is just
for naming rights - I remember Danny making a comment about how Six Flags went wrong by paying for Looney Tunes Characters, Etc. Well this one is hard to call.
I am sure more information will start surfacing. One can argue that this shouldnt be paid for by Go Zone bonds but at the same time if it works we could have a
long term big source of tax revenue. If it doesnt - well you already know. Last thing Danny did say also at the very begining of this plan to aquire the park
that it would be private investor funds only. I guess its what ever gets the park. As much as I want a park back - I just hope he isnt running around doing
anything he can to get the park open without really considering all the agreements and obligations he is committing to and then not be able to honor them.

TahoeMike - (edited out to be nice) - Our council men and women have better things to do than answer your nagging email. I dont
know what you have against this park but you need to chill. Did I miss something? Where did it say anywhere thay Viacom/Nick was doing financing. I did see
that SSA is applying for the GO Zone bonds this week. Right on Derickt he reminds me of a nagging old person. Or a kid that runs and tells on everybody. Mr.
Council man the news said that Nickelodeon was teaming up with Danny but I dont like Danny WAAAAAAAAAA WAAAAAAAAAA. Go Cry in the corner.

The only way to make BP disappear is to donate. It gets rid of the ads for so many months.

What is your source for the info TM. Did you just say you were a vendor and then received info from SSA? That does seem extremely high (5K). Coaster I think he was joking about the 20K vendors. Maybe if this was some big anticipated project that everyone wanted to be a part of vendors would be inclined to pay a app fee but I cant see it as of now. Even with the current news I haven't seen anything that is in stone yet. And again I have read that they are applying for the Bonds this week which still have to be approved. I couldn't believe that any vendor at this current status of the project would pay this fee. Also please TM if you did receive this info the way I mentioned above STOP WASTING EVERYONES TIME!!!! It is a good little bit of info for us but it isn't going to change anything. They are working on this project and you are sending your emails to city officials and scamming SSA out of information. What is your extreme fascination with Danny or SSA. Have you failed in a amusement park business previously and have a grudge? Did Danny sleep with your wife? I mean you have some serious problems. You are wasting people time. Why don't you voice your concerns to politicians with a serious matter such as this health care bill or all these ridiculous stimulus plans. There is a lot of serious problems we are dealing with that could use someone that will take the time to reach our government and voice there opinion such as yourself. But for this particular project you are overkill. My opinion - take it how you want.

My guess, and it's just a guess is that SSA has struck a licensing agreement with Viacomm. They will pay a yearly fee either flat or a % of
proceeds to viacomm to use their trademarks for SimEx rides, I imagine. Much like Six Flags did with Warner Bros and Universal is doing with Viacom now
(although I think that might have ended or is up for renewal). Again, this is just a guess, but I can't see them putting up dollars or 'managing'
the park - it has not been their MO to date. If it is true, it should at least help in getting the green light on the bonds as well as placing them, but this
will be an expense to the company, not a revenue.
Again, this is conjecture on my part, and nothing more. |

If this is the case, Danny better clear this stuff before he releases it, or he'll find himself out of the deal altogether. These guys have hundreds of attys on staff and don't mess around with amatuer hour. Regarding the bond application, frankly I am surprised the board accepted it considering they are still in litigation with SF. I would think a judge would take that as the city not negotiating in good faith with SF. Next few days should be fun reading |
